one month

Ava is one month old today!!! I can't believe how fast it is going. She gave David and me the best gift ever and skipped her 4 am feeding and slept 6 hours!!! Today we took one month pictures with my friend Missy. She said that we will have them right after Thanksgiving...I can't wait. Tonight we had a little party for Miss Ava!

Today we are going up to the hospital for Ava's ultrasound of her hips. I'm not worried about it the Dr said he hasn't noticed anything wrong with them but they are required to do it since she was breech. Pray that it goes well.

The blood clot in my arm is doing better I think. The redness and swelling has gone down and it doesn't hurt as bad now...so maybe it is almost gone.

Hope everyone is having a good week. Ava turns 1 month tomorrow!!! I can't believe it is going so fast!

3 weeks

I wrote this on Monday and saved it instead of posting...sorry

My baby girl is 3 weeks old! Everyone always told me how fast the time would go by...but I'm not liking it! She needs to stay little forever (well maybe a little bigger so that she will sleep during the night haha).

So at 3 weeks she is...eating every 3-4 hrs (3 oz of breast milk from a bottle), during the day she will stay awake for an hour or so after eating most meals...at night goes back to sleep about 30 mins after if she doesn't have too much gas, loves her swing, still doesn't like her back, loves being held on her tummy against your chest (I think she would like to sleep that way but I think we would be shot if we let her sleep on her tummy), loves to stick her tongue out, doesn't look so confused when she is awake (like she knows what is going on now), she does good in the car (thank God since it is a hour one way to church).

This week we are getting ready for Grammy (David's mom) and her Great Nana (his grandmother) to come visit! Ava can't wait to meet her Nana. I think Uncle Paul and Uncle Cameron are coming into town too...it's going to be a party! Hope y'all have a good day and week!

This weekend was my Grandmother side family reunion...David and I were not invited (my dad didn't want us to travel with Ava so he uninvited us) But here is a really good picture of my parents, and uncles with my Grandpa.

Today Ava went to her first Sunday morning church...she did so good with the hour drive there and back, as well as not being super cranky during church...although she did pass gas loudly once during the lord's supper!

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween! (a day late). Hope everyone had fun...I sure have enjoyed seeing everyone's pictures of playing dress up. Ava didn't get to "dress" up this year but she sure did have enough halloween outfits...in fact we ended up not wearing 2 of them!!!
