A few weeks ago Ava got to spend the day with her Great Granny. They played, sang, and walked around the nursing home. I'm so glad we were able to catch her singing to Ava Kate on video.

Back by popular demand...
Yes it is what y'all have all been asking for...PICTURE UPDATE!!! Sorry it has been so long since I posted pictures. And if Ava Kate keeps sleeping I might even upload pictures so that y'all can order some! Not much has happened lately to take pictures so I don't have much to update but better than nothing right...
Last time we were in Irving Ava Kate was just CRAVING Pee Wee's (haha) and of course she just had to play with her food...or chop sticks.

Ok so this is where the weekend started so I'm up to date on pictures!!! This weekend we got to meet Cameron's new girlfriend, Nishadi. She was so sweet and totally in love with Ava Kate. David and I both approve of her and can't wait till she comes back again! Oh I almost forgot they got Ava Kate the cutest Texas A&M clothes...beanie, onsie, house shoes, and paci! She is soo cute in them...just don't tell Meredith!
Sunday night we had our annual Super Bowl Party at our house. Ava did so good! There was about 20 people here and she wasn't bothered by the noise at all. I don't know why the heck David and I even stayed we could of sneaked out for a date night and no one would of noticed there were so many babysitters there. She passed out in Uncle Garrett's arms! Can't even tell that there were 20 screaming people there!
My feet don't touch but I still love to jump!
Ava's new favorite thing to do is jump in her Jump-A-Roo!!! Thanks Aunt Susie!!! She is such a big girl now...I can't believe she is 3 1/2 months already.
So today during tummy time Ava Kate sloooowly rolled over...so slow we were able to get pictures of it.
Halfway there...you can do it!

Please Pray
It seems like this week there has been so much going on with everyone. Hard news every time you blink. When it rains it poors is that how that saying goes? Anyways I hope that you can join me and take time to pray for these request.
*Bailey (the little boy in our wedding)- he is in 1st grade and has MS. They were told them that he was going to start using a wheelchair now (a lot sooner than they thought). Pray for his health, adjustment to the new life style, and acceptance of his friends.
*Jackie-one of our nurses at work lost her baby. She has been on bed rest for most of it. Went in for her check up and she lost the baby at I think 34 weeks. She is delivery today.
*Mom- is having a rough day.
*David- Praise he did great on his GRE. Still making his mind up about Grad school.
*Myself- to feel better (strep, ear infection)
*Kim- Praise she is back home! Still a lot up in the air to sort out with family. Pray for peace, forgiveness, love, and a chance to forget and move on.
*Katie- is being induced on the 12th!!! Safe and healthy delivery and baby.
*David's Granny and Aunt Kay-She has moved in with Kay, pray for adjustment time for both of them.
Thank you for praying. If you want us to be praying for anything let me know! Never under estimate the power of prayer!
Not much has been going on with us. No new pictures really. Ava is growing like a weed!!! She no longer looks little in David's arms (so sad). She is slowly getting back to normal. Since our last trip to Irving she hasn't been sleeping at night...not cool! But the last couple of nights have been getting better. I took her to school today so I could get stuff done around the house, and I got to meet her teachers. They all had wonderful things to say about her and brag about how well she is developing. Rainbow has been such a blessing. David got into Sing Song after all! He had his first practice this week and was so happy when he got home. I'm so glad he is still able to be a "normal" college kid even though he didn't take the "normal" college student path. He has his second basketball game tonight. Ava and I are going to cheer them on...maybe they won't get killed this time.
This weekend is super bowl...just in case you didn't know haha. We are having our annual party! If you are in Abilene feel free to come...just let us know. Ok back to getting things done around the house.

Home alone
I'M HOME ALONE!!! It is so weird! I have today off, but I still sent Ava to school (for a couple of reasons but mainly since I'm sick)
I went to the Dr yesterday b/c of a sore throat and cough...little did I know I had strep and a ear infection!!! They keep telling me it is rare for babies to get it and to keep giving her my milk...This better be true b/c I am going to be so frustrated if she gets sick.
Anyways it is so weird to be alone. I haven't been alone since she was born! (I guess if you think about it longer than that since I carried her 9 months). I had all this wonderful stuff I was going to get done today. Laundry, clean the kitchen, straighten the house...lets see of all of those I did none of them...and slept the whole time!!! It was wonderful! I am starting to feel a little better, which is good since I have to work tomorrow. And of course we have our annual super bowl party this weekend...I can't miss that. But the best part is Cameron is coming in town to hang out with David! I have truly enjoyed seeing Cameron so much since Ava was born...I think we have seen him more with Ava then I did since David and I got together.
Ava is home now (my computer died so I didn't get to post the first part when I typed it). She is starting to LOVE her Jump a Roo...she can't reach the floor yet but has figured out how to make it bounce and is slowly learning how to move the different toys. I love watching her learn new things! Ok I got to go love on my baby!

3 months
Well we have officially survived Ava getting sick for the first time. She had a upper respiratory infection, but is all better now!!! Praise got she didn't have RSV since it is going around school. I am just around to posting her 3 month post...but sadly no pictures right now.
3 months Ava is weighing in at 12 lbs 4 oz. We didn't get a height. The scary thing is that is about the size David was when he was born...I just don't see Ava fitting into my tummy right now.
-She is still in 3 months or 0-3 month clothes.
-Has rolled over from back to stomach while on the couch...But I think she might of had a little bit of help with a slight decline.
-She now sucks her first two fingers to sooth herself. Every now and then will take a paci.
-Drinks 5-5 1/2 oz of breast milk every 4 hrs during the day and sleeps from about 10-6:30.
-still wears size 1 diapers.
-Loves playing with toys (swinging at them, holding them when placed in her hand and looking at herself in the mirror).
- When she is fussy loves to be sung to, watch Praise Baby DVD's.
-She loves to go to Hebrew class with Daddy.
-She seems to love school. Always playing and smiling when David picks her up.
I LOVE watching Ava to continue to grow and develop. Seems like she changes everyday! (even more on the days that I have to work). I'm hoping to take her 3 month pictures soon, so check back.
I have a couple of prayer request this week:
-David takes his GRE on Friday- pray for calmness, and to do well on it.
-David as he tries to figure out what to do with grad school peace about balancing school and family.
-David's Grandmother moved in with his Aunt- pray that everyone gets a long, and her health.
-Safe travel for my brother and Addison this weekend (they are coming to our house!!!)
-Praise that Ava is feeling better!

Kinslee and Ava's Play date
Ava and Kinslee had their first play date last Friday. We took lunch to Janaye and Chance while the girls "played/slept". Then Amber came in town to meet Miss Kinslee so we got two dates in one day!!!

Kinslee Jordan Widman aka best friend
Welcome to this world Miss Kinslee Jordan Widman!!! Chance and Janaye welcomed their baby girl Monday 6 lbs 11 oz!!! I always kind of laughed inside when people said they couldn't remember their kids being so small...sadly I said this when I held Kinslee! haha and to think Ava is only 2 1/2 months!!!
Ava couldn't wait to meet her new best friend...really her only friend haha. David brought her up to work when I got off work. She is so pretty!!! I can't wait for all the playdates!!!
