First day of school

Miss Ava Kate started school again back in August.  This year she is a "Pony" with teacher Joy.  We have been so blessed by Rainbow Bible School.  And this year has been the best.  She comes home each day telling us what she has learned.  We have also been luck and have been with the same group of kids since they were 6 months old!

Summer Fun

 

As you already know this summer the cousin's moved to town.  One of our favorite things that we did was go up to ACU in the evenings for walks/ get all of their energy out!  Addy amazes me how much energy she has...if only I had a 4th of what she had.  This night I think we saw a total of 14 cats...and no they were not repeats!!!

 For the olympics a few of our friends had a party.  Each couple was to come as a country and bring a dish from there.  We were "France"  (David dress for Tour de France, me his steroid provider)

 Of course we provided a "French" fry platter...Arby's, McDonalds, Wendy's and Chick-fil-a!

 We braved it one night and had a cousin slumber party...I got a super cute one of them holding hands on my phone!

Zoo Days of summer!

We are LOVING having Jason and Shannon in Abilene with us!!! It's so sad to think that we might be leaving this summer.  When Jason left his church they gave him a membership to the Abilene Zoo...getting us ALL in for free anytime we want to go!  How awesome is that...even better that this summer was as hot as normal.  This is as good as it gets trying to take a picture of 4 kids 3 and under!

 

 The Abilene Zoo isn't huge but has a lot of neat things about it...You can feed the giraffes, ride a train, and just get really close to most of the animals. Perfect for our kids!

We loved the zoo so much this summer that we are having Ava's birthday party there this year.  I can't believe that she will be 3 in less than a month!!!

Back in July we started giving Jacob ceral...It's so funny how the first kid you can't wait to feed them and with the second you kind of dread it...so much extra work!  Anyways we had thought about putting it off but the Dr. told us that starting him on food would help him with his awful acid reflux. I'm excited to say that it helped a TON!!! and about a month of food and we were able to get him off all of his medication!!! 

 

We started with rice ceral...he is now up to pretty much everything...AVAcados first, and now he is up to sweet potatoes, apples, peaches, green beans, pears, peas, carrots (his favorite)  and some others that I can't think of at the moment.

 

 I was pretty shocked that he really liked it and did pretty good!

 Ava couldn't wait to help feed Jacob! Such a good helper!
