Cake class first night!

Last Monday was my first day of cake class. Janaye and I thought we needed to have mommy's night out...this is what we are doing! We made cookies this week....not the best but hey it was my first day! Can't wait till this week's class, we get to a real cake!!! I even made the icing myself! Pictures to come! First Day of School!

Monday was Daddy's first day of Grad school!!! Ava's was last Tuesday so close enough for a joint picture. (plus Ava was still sleeping when I left for her first day)

And just in case you forgot what poor Penny looked like or even who she was here is a super cute picture of her!!!

There is a Monkey on my back!!!

A few weeks a go a lady at church got Ava this monkey lunch box. Well it is now one of her favorite toys to wear and play around the house. Silly girl!!!

Putting things around her neck is currently one of her favorite things to do these days. Man she is starting to be more and more of a handful each day!

While we were in Irving I happen to see on facebook (man you got to love facebook) that the Stewart's were in town for the weekend. If you don't know who they are...I started babysitting them when I was 11 years old...Keep in mind that the girls were 3 week old twins, and Ethan was a very ADHD 2 1/2 year old! What was Monica thinking leaving me home with them!!! Anyways they moved when they were in first grade. And thanks to facebook I have been able to keep up with them. Man those kids were my babies!

This time we were only able to meet up with Monica and Ashley. Allison and Ethan skipped out and went to Six Flags.

This is Ashley. She is now 15 yrs old (Man I'm old!!!) She got to learn how to change I diaper on Ava...just like I learned on her!

Ok so during this play date once again Sydney picked on poor little Ava...I don't know if you remember the last one...but Sydney kept pulling Ava down and pushing her over. Well this time she would just out of the blue look at Ava and scream!...of course Ava would pause for a second and just cry and cry...it was soooo sad but yet very funny. Well here is a picture of it Poor little Ava!
I can't believe how old the girls are 15!!! and Ethan is now 18!!!! Gosh I'm so freaking old! Thank you facebook for letting us stay connected!

Ava and Addy

A few weeks ago I went home to help out my mom and watch Addy for a couple of days. It was so much time getting spend time with her. I haven't spent this much time with her since she was born! (how sad!!!) Here are a few pictures from my camera...more to come when I figure out how to get them off of kodake!

This was our attempt to get a Sassy and grandbabies picture...Sadly this was the best one...I guess that is what happens when you are working with a 9 month and 18 month. Before bed every night we sat down and watched praise baby...Addy would just melt into my mom's arms.

Can you believe it!?!?

Can you believe it?!?! Look at that little timeline at the top of my blog...can you believe how close it is to that 1!?!?! Where did my baby girl go? Well it is time to do Ava's 9 month post (late I know...)



They did her 9 month appointment at 8 months so I don't have any new stats...but we got on the scale the other day and she was 17 1/2 lbs!!!

-she is eating 3 bottles a day (7 oz of milk--no longer breast milk since TXU turn our power off while we were in Irving causing 3 months of milk to spoil the same week I stopped pumping!!!)

-eating 3 meals a day about 5-6 oz of baby food that I am making. She eats most fruits and veggies, and has started eating turkey and chicken. Still doesn't have a favorite food that I have noticed.

-Wears size 3 diapers and 6 month clothes.

-not sure on shoes...I haven't put any on her in a LONG time.

-no new words really, but LOVES her voice-screaming and just talking like crazy.

-favorite toy is the coffee table...and LOVES to take EVERYTHING off the table. Such a good little helper on keeping it clean! She also loves to play ring around the table...and chases whatever we keep moving around the table.

-Every now and then will stand without holding onto anything. Takes steps with help.

-Napping very well (finally) one morning and one afternoon each lasting about 2-3 hours. Still goes to bed around 8 and gets up around 6:30.

I just can't believe how fast she is growing up. We are already starting to plan her first bday party! I also can't believe how fast summer has come and gone. David starts grad school in a week and a half. Ava starts back to school next week. And I start my cake classes next Monday!!! I can't wait. It should of started this week but it got postponed, which was ok b/c....

Monday David and I celebrated our 2 year anniversary. Garrett and Stacy were able to watch her while we went to dinner and a movie. We are so blessed to have such great friends who are willing to help us out! Well David just got home...once again I will try to post pictures soon. Have a great rest of the week!
