A few weeks ago David was asked to go back to Round Rock Church of Christ and preach again. He truly has a gift (I think). Here is the link to the church. Hope y'all enjoy.

5 months

Can't you believe it...Ava Kate is 5 months old!!! I can't believe how fast it has gone. Part of me feels like she was born just yesterday but at the same time I feel like she has been part of our family forever!

We didn't go to the Dr. this month so I don't have any "stats" for you...but now she can do...
Roller from tummy to back and back to tummy!
She sleeps on her left side, and snuggles with her blankie.
She has set her own bed time between 8-8:30 and sleeps till about 6-7:30.
Loves playing in her Jump-a-roo
Smiles ALL the time, and laughs every now and then.
Just in the last week it seems like she rather sit up and play than lay down...but she can't sit by herself yet.
Still wears 3 month cloths
Has moved up to size 2 diapers.
I think she is starting to look more like David, but still has my red hair...and a lot more of it!!!
She now eats ceral twice a day!!! and seems to like it...and now knows to open her mouth and keep it in her mouth haha.

I love how much she changes everyday. We are so blessed to have her in our life. Ava Kate I hope you know how loved you are!!!

Spring Break!

2 weeks ago was ACU's Spring Break. I was able to get off of work for most of it, so we had a road trip to Irving to spend time with our families!!! We stayed at my parent's house since Jason, Shannon and Addy were in town. It was so much fun having my whole family together for a few days. Sadly Jason and Shannon left for Mexico but at least we had Addy. We also got to spend time with David's family and his Grandma, who spent the week with them. Here are a few pictures.

Look Daddy I can hold myself up as high as you can!!! I can't believe she is getting so big! She is now rolling all over the place! Addy doing some light reading!

Ok so Addy got jealous of Ava sitting in the Bumbo seat and really really wanted to sit in it...these are in reverse order...
Why did you put her back in my seat...it's ok I will just sit on her!!!

I will steal that seat!!

Thanks Aunt Kris for taking Ava out so I can have my seat...Look at that evil face she is making!!!
Picture 1 Ava in her seat...Addy thinking hmm I need this seat I am going to join her...

We were able to have a girls on the block reunion...We all moved on the block with in a year of eachother, and all got married within a month of eachother and then we all got pregnant around the same time. Sydney and Ava are a week apart and then Evie is a month old.
(Nicole, Sydney, Katie, Evie, Me and Ava)

So excited that there will be another baby on the block to join the club...Kim (Katie's little sister is now pregnant! Can't wait to find out if it is a boy or girl!!!)

Ava took her very first tub bath!!! We had to hold her up but she had so much fun splashing around!

Addy was in major need of a nap and wasn't going to have anything with it, so we went to the park to wear her out...it some what work...haha
Pappy pushing Ava in her first trip to the park!

Addy swinging away!

haha I love her face!!!

Weee look at how much she enjoyed that slide!!!

About to go down with Daddy...if he fits out the hole haaha

Ava's first trip down a slide!
We did come to the park for the girls...but David is truly a kid at heart!

I love my uncle Jason!!! I wish he would come see me more often

We also gave my mom her mother's day gift...Family pictures with the whole family! I'm hoping those come back soon. So stay tuned for those!

Happy St. Patty's Day!!!

I know I know I haven't blog at all this month!!! I can't believe it has been so long! Things have been so crazy busy for me. Working a ton, traveling and just snuggling with my baby girl. Anyways Ava wanted me to make sure y'all saw her super cute St. Patty's day outfits!!! We are missing one of them...but it has been posted before in the David's basketball game pictures..."Daddy's Lucky Charm"

Mommy thinks I'm charming!!!My favorite of the 3 outfits...yes she had 3 Patty day's outfits.

And of course Penny is not far behind!!!

Much needed bath time after dinner.
I love my baths and splashing everywhere!!!

Let it SNOW Let it SNOW...AGAIN!!!

Last Tuesday we had snow again...and once again I had to work. And once again David proved how amazing of a husband he is...I missed playing in the last snow due to work...and I was going to miss it again due to work. So my amazing husband went outside with me at 5:30 in morning so I could get some pictures!!!

Look at how much already at 5:30!!!
Poor David still half asleep!
I can't believe how much!!!
Look at teh massive snow flake on David's eye!!!
School was closed for David and Ava, so Chris and Katie came and hung out. They made snow ice cream, brought me lunch, and cooked dinner!!!

Ava had a fast photo shoot making her first snow angel

Surprise!!!

SURPRISE!!! WE HAVE NEWS FOR YOU!!! Exactly one year ago this was our surprise!!! So for fun I thought it would be fun to tell the story of how I told David we were pregnant.

The day before I was working and having sharp abdominal pain. I asked Bertha (my charge nurse at work) what it could be. She told me I was pregnant...but this is the answer she gave me to everything. I blew it off all day but as the day went on the more worried I was that I might be. So after work I went to the store and got some test to take that morning. Hiding them as soon as I got home so that I wouldn't worry David about it.

The next morning I woke up early (think b/c of nerves) took the test...HOLY CRAP it is POSITIVE!!! First thoughts were how in the world am I going to tell David...he is going to be soooo mad!!! (two weeks before this he told me He was so glad we weren't pregnant that he wasn't ready to have a baby yet). So I hid the positive test in the bathroom and did the only logical thing...went back to bed and acted like nothing was wrong. Of course I couldn't sleep. I just laid there in bed. Poor David kept trying to cuddle with me...he had no clue what was about to come. I was trying not to tell him till that night b/c he had a major research paper due that day by 5 that he hadn't even started. Surely I could wait to tell him till then...NOT...I finally rolled over and said..."Daaaaavid"... "huh"... "I need to tell you something"... "what" (very sleepily) ..."ummm I love you"..."I love you too Kris"..."ummm there is something else too"..."what?"..."ummm I'm pregnant!!!" "WHAT?!?!? REALLY?!?!?!" "yes"....silence....silence..."for real?!?!!" I crawled out of bed and showed him the test...no denying it now...The rest of the day is a blank...lots of thinking and TONS of worrying/ freaking out from me. David on the other hand was VERY excited (shocking me). He was amazing and held me and supported me during all of my freak out...(I have the best husband).

So NO we are NOT pregnant again! Just wanted to take the time out to celebrate what we thought was the best/ scarriest day of our lives. Little did we know what was to come...our beautiful baby girl Ava Kate!!!
