David had the honor of marring one of his best friends last month! How awesome is that! Every time he speaks (in public...not always at home haha) I'm just amazed at how much of a gift God has given him! He made it so personal! (Sorry for the bad pictures, it was dark and I was trying to take pictures without being that annoying picture person!)

Lisa's Graudation

In May Lisa (my mother in law) graduated with her master in education from ACU. I was so nervous about taking Ava, because it was during nap time and everyone knows how fun graduations can be! We were all shocked how well she did! I didn't have to walk around with her till about the last 30 mins of the 2 1/2 hour graduation! These pictures are just with my camera...I took my dad's nice one so that we could have close ups but I haven't been able to upload them yet.

Remember how I said that Ava did really good during it... it's more like she LOVED it!!! One of her favorite things to do is to cheer yelling "YAAAAAAAYYYYYYY" while clapping like a crazy person. Well that is what she did EVERYTIME someone cheered for the love ones!!! She had everyone around us laughing at...I mean with her!

Poor thing was so sleepy afterwards. We drove to lunch and she was so out that she slept in my lap the whole time we waited and ate! David and I are so blessed to have such a easy going baby! Congrats Lisa we are so proud of you!!!

Have you noticed I don't have many pictures of Ava's face?!? So frustrating! Summer has started!!! And our back yard is proof! Ava loves to be outside...so do I when it's not a million degrees outside! Our newest addition to our backyard is a turtle sandbox! Ava loves it! This sandbox has a little ring of water around it which just makes the sandbox a bigger mess!!! but even more fun!Side note to other parents of sandbox kids! Tip on getting the sand off of hot little kids is to put a little baby powder on your hand and then dust them off! For the ears put a little bit of baby oil on a q-tip and clean!

A day in the life of Ava Kate

I will never understand why kids LOVE boxes so much!?! It doesn't matter the size or shape of them ALL kids LOVE them! This is the story of Ava and her box! haha

Hmm I must play in this box even is it frustrates me so much that I have to have a fit about it because I can't get out of it!

Hmm that fit wasn't bad enough so I think I will get back into the box!

David and I have noticed lately that we are having to really start the "parenting" part of raising a child. NOT fun! I rather go back to the time when it was just have fun and play! Anyways since we have started "parenting" we have noticed that she she is mad she will put her hands on her hips, or cross her arms and give us this look!!! What a little turkey!!! She is stealing "THE" look from our "parenting"!!! Every now and then she will even add a foot stomp!!! Oh the things pick up from their parents!!!

A few weeks ago we had a small group get together at the baseball field for dinner and a "game" of softball. We are so blessed to have a group of friends who love our child SO much. It's hard sometimes being the only one with a kid, but at the same time Ava is so blessed to have so many "aunts" and "uncles". Ava is one LOVED child!!!

Easter

Like I said in the last post I LOVE Easter! The past few years we have had to spend it at LTC. This year we spent the weekend with LTC but was able to go to church back at South Mac! Ava loved her Easter basket! This year she got a Bunny, some books, a egg shaped magnadoodle (sp?) (my dad and I had to google and call for help how to erase it!!!) and some bracelets! She is still wearing those braclets everyday!!!

It's so fun that she is starting to really get into holidays.

On the other hand not so much fun that she doesn't like to take pictures!!!
